I build each site as its own WordPress theme, written by hand. There is no page builder underneath it, so every page carries only the code it needs and loads fast on a phone signal.
Most people will meet your site on a phone, so that is where I build it first. Text reads without pinching, buttons are big enough for a thumb, forms do not make the browser zoom in, and nothing scrolls sideways. I check it at phone widths before it goes live.

What I get asked before a build starts
- I already take payments through Square. Can you work with that?
- Yes, and you should keep it. If your customers already pay or book through Square, the site links straight to your Square page, so nothing changes about the way the money reaches you. What I build is the part Square does not cover: pages written for what you do, structured so people find you in search. The site is yours as well, so it stays with you if you ever change how you take payments.
- What about the website that comes with it?
- Plenty of payment and booking tools include one, and for a shop selling a handful of items it is a sensible place to start. It is built around a product list, though, so a business that sells its time rather than items runs into its edges. It also lives inside that subscription and ends when the subscription does. A build here sits on your own domain, belongs to you, and is written to be found by people searching for what you do rather than for you by name.
