Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of havendesigns.com.au. By browsing the site or sending me an enquiry through it, you are agreeing to them. They are written in plain language on purpose, and they are deliberately short, because a brochure site does not need much. If I am actually building something for you, the written proposal and agreement I send you is what governs that work, not this page.

Who you are dealing with

This site belongs to Haven Designs Studio (“Haven Designs”, “I”, “me” or “my”), a sole trader based in Brisbane, Queensland (ABN 50 414 690 792). You can reach me any time at krisna@havendesigns.com.au.

Using this site

You are welcome to read, print and share these pages for your own use, and to link to them. What I ask you not to do:

• Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that interferes with it working properly for other people.
• Attempt to gain access to any part of the site, server or database you have not been given access to.
• Scrape the site, or copy a substantial part of its content or code, to republish it, to build a competing offering, or to train an AI model.
• Send anything through the contact form that is unlawful, misleading, or somebody else’s confidential information.

Prices shown on this site

The tiers and prices published here are indicative starting points for a typical project of that shape. They are not an offer, and they are not a quote. What a project actually costs depends on its scope, and you will always get that figure in writing, with what is included, before any work starts. Nothing is owed until you accept a written proposal.

I may change the published prices at any time. A change never affects a proposal already sent to you, or work already underway.

Haven Designs is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and the prices shown are the full amount payable. If that changes, prices will say so.

The agreement that governs a project

Nothing on this website creates a contract between us. Sending an enquiry does not commit you to anything, and it does not commit me to taking on the work. When a project goes ahead it is governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, timing, payment, revisions and who owns what at the end. Where that agreement and this page ever disagree, the agreement wins.

Intellectual property

The design, layout, code, written content and photographs on this site are mine, or are used with permission. The Haven Designs name, logo and marks are mine. Quoting a short passage with a credit and a link back is fine and always welcome. Reproducing a substantial part of the site is not.

The work shown here

The portfolio and case studies include both commissioned client work and self-directed concept projects built to demonstrate what I can do. Each one is labelled on the case studies page, and I do not present a concept as a paid engagement. Business names, logos and trade marks belonging to other people appear only to identify whose project it was, and they remain the property of their owners.

Links to other websites

Some pages link out to sites I do not run, including sites I have built for clients. Those links are there for convenience. I have no control over what those sites publish or how they handle your information, and a link is not an endorsement of them.

Accuracy and availability

I keep this site as accurate and current as I reasonably can, but it is provided as it is. Its content is general information about my services, not advice tailored to your situation, and you should not treat it as the latter. I may change, move or remove content, and the site may be unavailable at times for maintenance or for reasons outside my control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law where doing so would not be lawful. Some rights simply cannot be signed away, and this page does not try to.

Where the law does allow me to limit my liability, my liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again. Otherwise, and only as far as the law permits, I am not liable for loss arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on its content, including lost profit, lost business or lost data.

Privacy

How I handle the information you send me is set out separately in my privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

I may update this page from time to time. The current version always lives here with the date it was last updated, and a change applies only to your use of the site after it is posted. A change here never varies a project agreement that has already been signed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
