What being close actually changes
Most of this work happens the same way whether you are ten minutes down the road or in another state. Two of the sites I look after are in Melbourne and Sydney, and neither is worse for the distance. So I will not tell you that a web designer has to be local.
What being close does change is the beginning. The first conversation decides what the site has to do. It usually happens on the phone, and if you would rather talk it through across a table, the southside is near enough that we can.
It changes the end too. When something breaks, or the prices move, or you want a page added before a busy month, you are emailing one person in the same city on the same clock. No account manager, no ticket number, and no waiting overnight for a reply from another time zone.

What it costs, before you ask
Builds start at $1,250 and the price is fixed before anything begins, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay. There are three builds and the prices for all of them are on this site, which is more than most of the studios you are comparing me against will tell you before a meeting.
One person does all of it: the design, the WordPress build, the hosting afterwards and the changes you ask for later. There is no page builder underneath, so the site loads fast on a phone signal, and you get your own login and a walkthrough before it goes live.
Allied health is the work I focus on, on the southside as much as in Logan: physios, OTs, podiatrists and dietitians whose patients find them by searching their suburb, and whose site has to work with Cliniko, HotDoc or Halaxy rather than around them.
